Projects

  1. Notre Dame Campus Pathfinder

Command line tool for calculating the shortest path between two points on the Notre Dame campus.

    Command line
  2. Personal Google Home Page

Personal browser home page built using React. Features dozens of information widgets, including a weather module, a random Bible quote generator, and a NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day display, among other things.

  3. Theory of Computing Projects

    1. Designed an efficient NFA simulation engine to process input strings without full DFA conversion or exponential backtracking.

    2. Developed a high-performance regular expression matching engine (similar to Unix grep) that parses regular expressions, converts them into Non-Deterministic Finite Automata (NFAs), and executes linear-time string matching.

    3. Built a Unix sed-style stream editor and demonstrated its Turing-completeness by compiling Turing machine specifications into executable sed scripts.

    4. Extended a custom regular expression engine to support backreferences—pushing its matching capabilities beyond context-free languages—and proved the problem's NP-completeness by implementing a SAT solver via polynomial-time reduction.

  4. This Website!

Initially created for a Programming Paradigms homework assignment, I decided to grow this website into something much larger, to accomplish a long-time goal of mine.

    HTML · CSS · JavaScript · Bootstrap
  5. pqsh (Process Queue Shell):

A low-level C99 shell that manages and schedules background jobs across multiple CPU cores using preemptive Round-Robin and FIFO policies.

    Operating Systems · C · Linux · Makefile
